For this reason, the town’s ever-expanding history will prove interesting to anyone with an enthusiasm for English and Welsh history.

The school has positive reviews from Welsh governing body Estyn and has been highly rated for the welfare and learning progression of the young people at the school.

Further primary options are available in the surrounding areas of Carreghofa and Llanfechain. As these are slightly further out, they require the use of public transport or a car to reach them on a daily basis, however, funding is available to students who fall into the catchment areas for each individual school.
