Kilconquhar Castle itself dates from the 11th century. In more recent years the popular holiday village has been built in the surrounding estate. The castle was once home to the Earl of Carrick and his son, the legendary Robert the Bruce. The estate extends
to 130 acres of beautiful woodland, landscaped gardens and open spaces.
