  • Alex Chesterman

    Alex Chesterman, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

    In 2008, Alex launched Zoopla.co.uk, which has become one of the UK's most-visited websites and best-known online property brands. In 2012, Alex merged Zoopla with Daily Mail Group’s online property brands to form Zoopla Property Group which owns two of the leading brands in the sector - Zoopla.co.uk and PrimeLocation.com - and where he remains as CEO. Prior to this, in 2003, Alex co-founded LOVEFiLM.com, Europe's leading online DVD rental subscription service, which was successfully sold to Amazon.com. Alex is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading internet entrepreneurs and was named by Property Week as one of the 100 most important people in the UK residential property industry. Alex holds an honours degree in Economics from London University.

  • David Dutton

    David Dutton, Non-Executive Chairman

    David began his career starting a pizza restaurant chain, Pizzaland, which was subsequently sold to a major public food company in 1978. He then founded a property company which was taken to the AIM market and sold in 1989. Since then David has worked in a number of roles for The Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) and is currently Chairman of DMG Information, a major division of DMGT concentrating on the provision of B2B electronic information and a Non-Executive Director of a number of other DMGT subsidiaries. David holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard University.

  • Fred Destin

    Fred Destin, Non-Executive Director

    Fred joined Atlas Venture in 2004 as a Partner on the technology team focussing on software, technology-enabled services and digital media infrastructure/applications. Previously, Fred was a Venture Manager with Speed Ventures, a fund backed by Permira and Soros Partners, and also an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. Fred authors a widely read blog at www.freddestin.com and holds a Masters in Financial Engineering from the University of Brussels.

    Grenville Turner, Non-Executive Director

    Grenville joined Countrywide in August 2006 as an Executive Director and became Group Chief Executive in January 2007. Also a director of Countrywide Estate Agents and Non-Executive Chairman of Knightsbridge Student Housing Ltd. Former roles include Chief Executive, Intelligent Finance and Chief Executive, External Sales at HBOS and previous Directorships have included St James's Place plc, Sainsbury's Bank plc and Rightmove.co.uk Limited. Grenville qualified as a Chartered Banker in 1982 and holds an MBA from Cranfield Business School.

  • Kevin Beatty

    Kevin Beatty, Non-Executive Director

    Kevin Beatty was appointed to the Board of The Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) in 2004, having joined the group in 1996. Prior to this, Kevin was managing director of the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail, at that time part of Mirror Group plc. With DMGT for 16 years, Kevin has been managing director of The Mail on Sunday; managing director of the Evening Standard and London Metro; chief operating officer of Associated New Media; and managing director of Northcliffe Newspapers. Kevin is now Chief Executive of dmg media, the consumer media operation of DMGT.

    Robin Klein, Non-Executive Director

    Robin is a serial entrepreneur and early stage technology investor and is an investor in a number of the UK's leading high-growth internet businesses. After selling Innovations to the Burton Group in 1995, Robin founded The Accelerator Group (TAG). The companies which he has backed at an early stage include LastMinute.com, Agent Provocateur, LOVEFiLM.com, Wonga (where he is Chairman), Mind Candy (Moshi Monsters), Fizzback, Tweetdeck, Graze, FreeAgent, Skimlinks, Moo (where he is Chairman) and Zoopla.co.uk.

  • Simon Kain

    Simon Kain, Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

    Prior to co-founding Zoopla.co.uk in 2008, Simon was most recently CTO at LOVEFiLM.com, where he was responsible for building the technical platform and team behind Europe's leading online DVD rental service. In 1997, Simon joined start-up Bookpages.co.uk, which was subsequently acquired by Amazon.com where Simon spent 5 years developing and managing a significant part of the European software team. Simon holds an honours degree in Computer Science from Warwick University.

  • Stephen Daintith

    Stephen Daintith, Non-Executive Director

    Stephen joined DMGT as Finance Director in January 2011. Prior to this, Stephen was based in New York as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Dow Jones & Company. Before joining Dow Jones in 2008, Stephen had been in London where he was the CFO of News International, the publisher of The Sun, The Times and The Sunday Times. He served in that role since 2005. Previously he held several executive positions at British American Tobacco who he joined in 1996, rising to be CEO of the company's Swiss business after three years as CEO in Bangladesh. Stephen started his career as an accountant at Price Waterhouse and graduated from Leeds University.

  • Stephen Morana

    Stephen Morana, Chief Financial Officer

    Stephen joined Zoopla in 2013 after spending a decade at Betfair, one of the UK's most successful internet businesses. Part of the management team since 2002, he joined the Board as CFO in 2006, and was Interim CEO in 2012. Prior to Betfair, Stephen held a number of senior finance positions, including at Sapient the Nasdaq listed technology innovator. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and an INSEAD alumni.
