Property description

Overview

Why buy this home?

As soon as you enter this wonderful property you get the immediate sense that a lot of money has been spent on the interior decor. From the cottage doors to the luxury flooring that runs through the hallway into the open-plan kitchen/living area, this spectacular apartment really does scream 'home'. The kitchen has been finished with cashmere units and white worktops giving it a modern and premium look. For a modest apartment, there is ample cupboard space and plug sockets in the kitchen, along with integrated appliances including washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric hob and electric oven.

Two sets of windows in the master bedroom provide copious amount of natural light, giving the feeling of a bigger space. There is also an ensuite to the master bedroom with a double shower cubicle, wrapped with trendy textured tiles. The second double bedroom also benefits from a large window, theres also enough room for a double bed and wardrobe or could make for the ideal large home office.

A well-proportioned bathroom completes this perfect starter home. Lavished with similar neutral tiles as the ensuite, the glass shower screen keeps the spray from the powerful overhead shower at bay!

Being located so close to the lake this property is perfect for those who enjoy walking and taking in fresh air. Also only a short walk away you have the local shopping district, the Turing Key pub and pavilion. Finally, are some lovely local walks, to Newton Longville through the woods and open fields, or a wonderful four-mile canal-side walk along to The Three Locks where you can enjoy a much deserved G&T on the canal.

More about the location.....

For a new development, Newton Leys is steeped in history. With some parts dating back as far as the Iron Age. However, it was more recently famous for brick-making from the late 19th Century, in the form of Newton Longville Brickworks. When the Brickworks closed in 1978, an old claypit was flooded to create Jubilee Lake, now more commonly known as Willow Lake, easily the jewel in Newton Leys' crown.

Newton Leys is a district that covers the southern tip of Bletchley and is split between the Borough of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury Vale. Conveniently located next to the A4146 and A5, it gives easy access to Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and the M1. You have a choice of either Bletchley or Leighton Buzzard Train Stations which both offer services directly into London Euston.

Newton Leys Primary School opened in 2016 and accepts children from age 3 (nursery) to age 11 (Year 6). Many parents take advantage of the Grammar Schools in Aylesbury for Secondary education being only approximately 11 miles away.

In 2017 Newton Leys District Centre opened providing local conveniences such as a Costa, Chinese Takeaway, Fish and Chip Shop, Dry Cleaners, Hair Salon and a 8000 sq ft Asda. At the end of April 2019 the Turing Key pub opened its doors and has already cemented itself as the heart of the community. It is in good company as there also numerous village pubs within a few miles such as The Three Locks at Stoke Hammond, The Crooked Billet at Newton Longville and The Betsey Wynne at Swanbourne.
