This part of Leyton is exceptionally well placed for several of East London’s best neighbourhoods.
Francis Road is close by for independent cafés, restaurants and shops, while the food and cultural scenes of Walthamstow, Clapton and Chatsworth Road are all easily reached. The wider local dining scene has become a real draw in its own right, from acclaimed Malaysian cooking at Manibow in Clapton to Leyton’s eclectic wine-bar scene, including Yardarm and Swirl, and sushi hotspot Bamboo Mat.

Head south and Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park provide a completely different scale of amenity, with shopping, restaurants, sporting facilities and cultural destinations all within easy reach.

The amount of green space nearby is abundant. The Lea Valley creates an enormous green corridor through this part of East London, stretching from the vast open spaces of Hackney Marshes north towards Walthamstow Wetlands. Between them are waterways, playing fields, walking and cycling routes and nature reserves, making this one of the greenest corners of the capital.

Gloucester Road is particularly well served by several different rail and Underground options. Lea Bridge station is approximately 0.6 miles away and has direct Greater Anglia services to Stratford and Tottenham Hale, with services running up to three times an hour on weekdays.
Leyton Midland Road is around 0.7 miles away for the London Overground Suffrage line towards Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside. Walthamstow Central is approximately 0.9 miles away, giving access to both the Victoria line and Weaver line services towards Liverpool Street, while Leyton Underground station is around 1.2 miles away for the Central line
