Welcome to Poplar Close!
Sitting at the end of the cul-de-sac, this is one of those houses where there’s much more to it than you’d ever guess from the outside.

And just wait until you see the garden.

Inside, it’s been incredibly well looked after and has a really good layout for family life. The main lounge is a great size, with a feature fireplace and sliding doors taking you straight outside.

Then you’ve got a completely separate second living space. Currently used as another sitting room, but it could just as easily be your dining room, playroom, snug, home office… or somewhere for the kids to take over while you reclaim the main lounge.

The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and worktop space, with a separate utility room just off it, and there’s a downstairs WC too.

Upstairs, there are four proper bedrooms. The main bedroom has fitted wardrobes, its own en-suite and probably my favourite thing inside the house – that view! You can genuinely lie in bed and look out across the rooftops and countryside beyond. There’s also a separate family bathroom for everyone else.

And if you’re a family with a lot of stuff, you’re going to like this next bit.

The garage has its own mezzanine level, giving you even more storage without losing all of the garage floor space.

But outside is where this one gets really interesting.

Calling it a tiered garden doesn't really do it justice, because it’s more like a collection of different outdoor spaces that you discover as you make your way up.

There’s a little spot for your morning coffee, lawn for the kids, patios, decking and a big entertaining area with loads of room for the table, BBQ and everyone round in summer. Then you keep going and there’s another entertaining area further up, with the views getting better as you go.

Even the space underneath the upper decking hasn't been wasted. The individual panels open up to reveal loads of hidden storage underneath – very clever and very handy.

The current owners have raised their children here and, more recently, watched their grandchildren enjoy it too, and you can see why the garden has worked so well for family life. There’s loads for children to explore across the different levels, with balustrades and gated sections helping to separate the spaces, while the grown-ups can actually sit down somewhere with a coffee and keep an eye on them.

Then right at the top, there’s one final surprise.

The timber summerhouse is currently set up as a proper little chill-out snug, complete with sofa and TV. Somewhere to escape with a cuppa, watch the football, hide from everyone for half an hour… and enjoy even more of those views.

It’s not a grey, shiny new-build and i’m not going to pretend it is. What it is, is a really well-kept family home with four bedrooms, an en-suite, two separate living spaces, loads of clever storage, an integral garage with mezzanine and a garden that just keeps going.

You really do need to come and explore this one properly.

5 Things We Love About Our Home
The views
We never get bored of them. Whether you're looking out from the bedroom or sitting higher up in the garden, the views are something we've always loved about living here.

Being right at the end of the cul-de-sac
It's always felt lovely and quiet here. Being at the end means no passing traffic, and it's been a great place for family life.

The garden was made for entertaining
There's not just one place to sit! Morning coffee, somewhere for the kids to play, BBQs, family get-togethers, different terraces to follow the sun and the little snug right at the top. We've used every bit of it.

It's been a brilliant family home
We're the only owners and have been here since it was built. We've brought up our children here and then watched our grandchildren enjoy it too. There are a lot of very happy memories in this house.

It's comfortable whatever the weather
It's lovely and warm through the winter, but something that always surprises people is how cool the house stays during the summer.
