Brettenham is a small village, about 11.5 miles South East of Bury St Edmunds, located south of the A14 and east of the A134. It has a community feel, with much of the activity centred around the Village Hall, and there is a cricket club. In addition there is a parish Church, and the village is home to two Independent Schools, with a close working relationship with the village. Old Buckenham Hall School is an independent school for children aged between 7 and 13 years.
