When we first viewed the property we were taken back by the quiet cul-de-sac location and friendly neighbourhood. Although this home had everything we wanted, we knew there was so much potential to create further living space as well as bespoke features. We are thoroughly pleased with the works that you will see today…

Upon entering you are greeted with a spacious hallway following through to our extension which is the kitchen/diner. Our carefully designed kitchen is modern and very well equipped with wine cooler, 6 ring range style cooker and further integrated appliances. We also have underfloor heating. Our separate utility room has come in very handy! We added bi-fold doors and very much enjoy letting the outside in on those glorious summer days.

From the kitchen there are double doors leading to an additional reception room which we use as our family room and the children love it. It has scope for many potential purposes: Home office, gym or playroom.

The village where we live is charming – there is so much on your doorstep whilst still having that rural feel. We have scenic walks, bike trails and so many events as a village – we enjoy bonfire night, Christmas celebrations, village day and the Goatfest local musical festival in the summer. There are excellent amenities here: Local butchers, pharmacy, hair dressers, bakery, convenience stores, mot garage to name a few! It is nice to support local businesses. We are close to Stevenage, Hitchin & Welwyn Garden City, all easily accessible within a short drive. There are also Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City rail stations nearby with their high-speed links to London within 30 minutes. A main factor for us was good schools for our children and the village primary school has Outstanding ofsted rating as well as there being good secondary schools within the area too.

We have wonderful neighbours and there is a real sense of community between us – we will miss them when we move!

The time has come for pastures new and to let someone else enjoy all this loving home has to offer…..

Agent’s opinion – when I first attended this property I fell in love! The décor is neutral, tranquil and stylish, the layout and flow work perfectly and there are some beautiful features in the kitchen and quaint window in the hallway as you go up the stairs.
