The hostel is situated on raised elevations on the western side of the picturesque fishing village of Coverack, located on the Lizard Peninsula. The nearby rocks known as ‘the Manacles’ have been the site of many shipwrecks and as a consequence are now a favourite diving destination. The South West Coastal Path also runs through the village. Coverack is situated about 12 miles south east from the town of Helston which has a population of circa 11,000.
