The hostel is located in the Cot Valley, just outside the town of St Just in West Penwirth in the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has a population of circa 4,800 and close to the well known holiday destinations of Sennen Cove (5 miles) and St Ives (12 miles).

The Lands End landmark, for which the hostel is named after is approximately 5 miles to the south and has year round tourism for it being the most westerly point on mainland England.
