Lino Scialo
Head of Sales
I have worked in the property industry for many years now, I won’t say how many, otherwise you might be able to guess my age. Even when I was a young boy, I always had an interest in the property market. My father used to buy and sell properties and I was always with him watching and learning. I like to match people with the right property, rather than just any property. I listen to the client and their needs and I do everything within my power to make it work. I offer people the correct advice, not the advice they wish to hear.
Being Italian, I love food, trying new food and old Italian recipes. I love to cook too, I love being in the kitchen. I am what’s more commonly known as a proper foodie. Alongside the food, I used to make my own wine, once a year. I haven’t done so for a few years now, but when I get the opportunity I make it when I can.
A favourite pass time of mine is stand up comedy, I absolutely love it, watching not taking part, but I do like to crack the odd joke around the office.

MARLA
Head of Lettings
Working the other side of the industry (I was a builder for many years) gave me a snapshot insight into the property market. As I didn’t become an Estate Agent until 6 years ago I am a little older than most lettings negotiators, but don’t let that fool you, I have more drive to succeed than anyone I have ever met. After working as a negotiator for 6 months I quickly passed my ARLA qualifications, a huge achievement. This essentially fast tracked my career to Branch Manager. It was in this position that I realised I missed the day to day customer interaction, I missed the satisfaction of finding someone their dream home and I missed everything about being a lettings negotiator, so I decided to return to the position of a property consultant and I haven’t looked back since! I can genuinely say I love property. For fun after work my time is taken up by two things, my beautiful children and paintballing. So when I am not having fun with my little lady I am donning safety goggles and my second baby- my paintball gun, it’s a great way to keep active and lot’s of fun!

Gary Vajda
Sales Consultant
Metro Village is my first role within the property industry and I could not be more excited. Having been a concierge for two years, I decided I wanted to make the transition into sales. My customer service background, I believe is going to drive me to success within this industry. It’s so important to listen to people and understand their needs rather than what I think they should buy. It’s not about the quick sale but the right sale.
Originally from Hungary I moved to London 10 years ago. After enjoying everything London has to offer I decided to stay and work, and I have now settled in east London. I live with my girlfriend and we both really enjoy nice food so we love trying new restaurants across London. Fashion is important to me, I stay on top of the latest trends and I like to think I always look smart for work.

Kieran Price
Lettings Consultant
After 10 years in the industry I have begun working for Metro Village. Having previously worked in the Kent area, working in Canada Water is a lot more fast paced with a completely different type of client. My previous employment history gives me experience in all aspects of Estate Agency which means I can adapt to the business needs, but Lettings is where I feel I am best placed.
Myself and my Fiancé have a 2 year old son who we both adore, so outside of work, I spend as much time with them as possible. We love exploring new places with him and showing him different places. Football is also a big part of my life, I love watching, and I know this will get a few hisses but I am a Crystal Palace fan! I do play every now and again too, but not as much as I used to.

Jorge Portillo
Property Manager
I am a positive, strong minded individual who likes to work in a fast paced office environment, so it’s handy I work for Metro Village as it’s very fast paced here. I am a team player; my colleagues know I am on hand to help with any task. If there is a job that needs doing I will do what I can to get it done. I am fluent in English and Spanish. Spending time with my partner and daughter is how I enjoy a day off, we love going for long walks and taking in the greenery the local area has to offer. I am also a football fan, I love playing and watching! C’mon you blues!

Property Administrator
Having worked in the property industry for a number of years I was looking for a new and exciting challenge. Metro Village is the perfect fit for me! I pride myself on customer service and providing a second to none experience and Metro Village do just that.
Originally from Liverpool, I moved to London and I haven’t looked back (well I go back to see my Mum and Dad quite a bit) I love London and all it has to offer, I love meeting new people, seeing London’s spectacular sights and I do enjoy the occasional night out.
After work I like to keep fit, I work out regularly and enjoy being active. I enjoy spending time with friends and travelling back to Liverpool to see family. I am a huge fan of Christmas, Christmas itself is so exciting but for me it’s a double celebration as it’s actually my birthday too! And yes, before you ask, I do get double presents from my Mum and Dad.

For me, attention to detail is important and when a property is advertised a high standard of photography is essential as it really does make a difference. It’s imperative that if you are asking people to spend money on a property and on the other side of the coin asking people to give you their property to rent out or sell that estate agents offer a professional photography service. Metro Village now use an in house professional (me) and we aim to make sure your property, if marketed by us is done correctly.
When I’m not taking property pictures for Metro Village I also own a photography company, and when I am not working with a camera I love nothing more than spending time with my son. I am also a fan of American sports, particularly the NFL and Baseball and I will watch whenever I can- the time difference can sometimes make it difficult.
