Meet the team
Tony has been an estate agent for 20 years and during that time he’s experienced pretty much everything the industry has to offer. That wealth of experience and knowledge has seen Tony rise up the estate agency ladder and he recently celebrated eight years of leading our Kensal Rise office. For Tony it was a homecoming as he was born and raised in Queens Park and still lives locally with his wife and six (that’s not a typo!) children who are aged between 3-14 years-old.
Mat PlocharskiLettings Manager
A lot of estate agents like to talk, some maybe too much, Mat on the other hand prefers to listen. With 8 years of industry experience under his belt and a hard working, dedicated approach to looking after clients Mat knows his job inside out. He said: “It’s really important to listen to clients. Whether it’s the property owner or someone seeking a new home I prefer to hear what they have to say before second guessing or making assumptions. A good estate agent has to have excellent communication skills. “By listening to people I get to understand their aims and objectives and this is a huge help in keeping everyone happy and achieving the best outcomes.” Laid back Mat also advises clients to try not to get stressed during the sales / letting process. He said: “I have a calm approach and think this helps clients stay relaxed. Buying or letting a property can be stressful that’s why it’s important for clients to feel the estate agent they have chosen is listening to them, acting on their behalf and is experienced enough to handle any challenges. Having lived locally most of his life Mat, like all of the Kensal Rise team, knows the area extremely well. His favourite spot to relax is the cafe in Roundwood Park where he’s spent many a Sunday relaxing with his partner. Mat’s proudest moment while with Daniels was running a 10k sponsored race in aid of The Mayhew Animal Home charity. So if you are looking for an agent who’s a good listener, loves animals and keep calm while others are losing their heads – Mat’s your man. Mat’s Property Tip: Seek your estate agent’s advice about any refurbishment work on a property you’ve decided to put on the market. Sometimes it can be a waste of money as new homeowners often want to put their own personal stamp on a property.
Leigh GivnanSenior Sales Consultant
Leigh’s has been with Daniels for three years now. Having studied Sports Science Leigh decided to swap the gym from an office and here explains why. He said: “I’ve always been interested in property so when the opportunity came up to join Daniels I jumped at it. I love the job and the fact that every day is different and you’re dealing with lots of people. “For me the best part of my job is helping people find their ideal home, especially when you’ve got to know them through meeting them and accompanying them to viewings. There are also challenges such as overseeing sales negotiations but I always aim for a win win scenario as this helps deals get done more smoothly.” Leigh grew up locally and attended school in nearby Hampstead so he knows the area extremely well. His biggest achievement so far at Daniels was negotiating the sale of the Kensal Rise office’s highest priced property ever. Away from the office Leigh ‘relaxes’ by watching his team Liverpool FC. Leigh describes his approach to his role as positive, direct and above all honest. He added: “Estate agents have a negative stereotype which is unfair in my opinion. You can’t tar every agent with that brush and at Daniels we’re honest people simply trying to do our best for everyone we work with.” Leigh’s Top Tip: People want space in a new home so look to declutter as much as possible. That never used armchair has to go.
