The M62 (east) links Manchester with Leeds, the Humber ports, the M1 and the A1. The M6 runs south to Birmingham and London, and north to Scotland. By air, Manchester Airport (third largest in the UK, and the primary airport for the North of England) is located just 20 minutes by road or rail from the city centre, and serves over 200 destinations worldwide, including direct flights to all of Europe's major cities. Manchester is served by two mainline railway stations, both of which are located in the city centre. Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly together provide direct rail connections to all major UK cities, for example, London is under three hours away by train, Birmingham, two hours and Edinburgh and Glasgow, four hours. In the city centre, the Metroshuttle provides a free bus service for visitors, connecting the major train stations with the shopping and leisure areas, and the Metrolink tram network connects with the core bus routes at the Piccadilly Gardens terminus.
