Manchester is served by two mainline railway stations, both of which are located in the city centre. Manchester Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly together provide direct rail connections to all major UK cities, for example, London is under three hours away by train, Birmingham, two hours and Edinburgh and Glasgow, four hours. In the city centre, the Metroshuttle provides a free bus service for visitors, connecting the major train stations with the shopping and leisure areas, and the Metrolink tram network connects with the core bus routes at the Piccadilly Gardens terminus.
