Public Transport Services Trains from Derby Station; Owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway, the station is also used by CrossCountry services and Northern services, which connect the railway station to all corners of the country. East Midlands Railway operates a twice-hourly service over the Midland Main Line southbound to London St Pancras via Leicester and northbound to Sheffield, while CrossCountry runs long-distance trains to Newcastle and Edinburgh northbound and to Plymouth and Reading southbound. East Midlands Railway also runs on other local routes, with hourly services on the Nottingham - Matlock Bath - Derwent Valley Line and the routes from Derby to Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent.
