This upside-down house offers modern fixtures and fittings, providing the perfect accommodation for you and your guests on the Yorkshire coast. Please note that there are 35 external steps to access the property.

The top floor features an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. Relax on the large sofa in front of the 50-inch flat-screen Smart TV with complimentary now TV and Netflix subscriptions. Enjoy access to a Juliet balcony. The modern and stylish kitchen is fully equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, hob, kettle, microwave, toaster, and a washer/dryer. The dining table is situated between the kitchen and living area. On the first floor, you'll find two cozy bedrooms: One with a king-size bed (which can be split into two singles) and a bunk room, both with plush bedding and premium linens. The family bathroom on this floor features a bathtub with an overhead shower, toilet, and wash basin. The ground floor houses a third bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bathroom with a shower, toilet, and wash basin.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Oyster Cottage per reservation. Oyster Cottage offers a private on-site parking space (number 13). A permit for use at West Cliff car park is also provided, which is a 10 to 15-minute walk from Oyster Cottage. Various pay and display public car parks are available in the area.

Set on the West side of Whitby, Oyster Cottage is just a short 6-minute walk into the centre of town. Explore Pier Road for pubs, arcades, and fish restaurants, leading to the blue flag West Cliff Beach. Cross the swing bridge to the East bank, with its narrow medieval streets, boutiques, pubs, and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps to the Church of Saint Mary, and discover the ruined Whitby Abbey. Whitby is part of the North York Moors National Park, offering woodland and moorland for long walks.

Smoking is not allowed. Events are not allowed. Host & Stay requires all guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Oyster Cottage are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
