What the owners love:
We have loved living at 83 Sarsen House. After returning to the UK from overseas, this apartment was the perfect place to call home for three years.
The apartment is spacious, filled with natural light, and the living room opens onto a lovely private balcony – perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing on a warm summer evening.
As a modern development, everything is well maintained, and having access to the residents’ gym and a 24-hour concierge has been a real bonus. The building also has a friendly community feel, which made us feel at home from the start.
In terms of the local area, Hanwell offers the best of both worlds – a peaceful, leafy part of London with plenty on your doorstep. There are lovely independent cafés, an amazing reformer Pilates studio, and a Tesco just a short walk away, while Ealing and Northfields offer a fantastic choice of restaurants, pubs and shops. One of the things we’ve particularly enjoyed is seeing new independent businesses open during our time here, with the latest being a fantastic juice bar that makes you feel like you’re at a beach resort without ever leaving Hanwell. We were also drawn to the abundance of green space, with beautiful parks including Walpole Park, Elthorne Park and Osterley Park all nearby, making it easy to enjoy walks, runs and weekends outdoors.
The transport links are excellent too. The Elizabeth line provides direct access to Central London and Heathrow Airport, while Ealing Broadway and Boston Manor stations make the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines easily accessible.
As a newly married couple, we have loved our three years in the apartment and will genuinely miss it and the local area.
Why we would rent this home:
Finding a home that seamlessly blends space, functionality, and high-end aesthetics is a rare feat, but this stunning one-bedroom apartment delivers on every count. Set within a ground-breaking new development, the interior boasts a remarkably generous footprint and pleasing flow. The luxurious contemporary finishes create an inviting, elevated ambiance throughout, while the semi-open plan kitchen hits the perfect sweet spot for hosting.
Beyond the front door, the lifestyle perks read like a boutique hotel reservation. Step straight out onto your own sunny private terrace for morning coffee or evening unwinding, or head up to the impressive 6th-floor communal roof garden to take in the surrounding views.
Daily convenience is handled effortlessly, with lift access, a dedicated concierge, secure bike storage, and a fully equipped residents' gym that lets you cancel your outside membership for good.
The location strikes an extraordinary balance between fast-paced city access and peaceful weekend retreats. Exceptional transport links sit nearby to make any commute effortless, complemented by an abundance of local amenities, vibrant cafes, and shops right on your doorstep. Whenever you need to unplug, scenic riverside walks and lovely nearby parks offer the ideal natural backdrop to recharge.
