Spacious two-bedroom home next to Southwick Country Park Gardens, driveway, excellent storage, great access to Bath, Bristol and London

A bright, spacious and much-loved two-bedroom home in a quiet cul-de-sac on the Southwick side of Trowbridge, a 2-minute walk across to Southwick Country Park and the adjoining allotments.

We are moving away because of a long-term live-in work opportunity and are looking for tenants who would like to make the house their home. We have loved living here and would ideally like to find someone looking for a longer-term tenancy, with whom we can have a friendly, fair and respectful landlord-tenant relationship.

The house

The property has a lovely sense of space for a two-bedroom home.

Upstairs are two generous bedrooms. The main bedroom is particularly spacious, comfortably accommodating up to a Superking bed alongside bedside tables, drawers, dressing table and additional furniture without feeling crowded. The second bedroom is a similar size with a built in wardrobe and works equally well as a double bedroom, guest room or spacious home office.

There is a family bathroom with bath and shower, as well as a large separate downstairs WC and basin.

The living room is bright and comfortable, with a large window overlooking the front garden.

At the rear is a good-sized kitchen and dining room, with plenty of room for a full dining table and direct access into the garden. The kitchen includes a Miele oven and fridge-freezer, both installed approximately two years ago. The property also benefits from a fitted water softener that we will continue to pay for, a particularly useful feature in this hard-water area and one that helps considerably with limescale throughout the home and makes the water taste better.

There is also a very useful walk-in pantry/storage area, in addition to normal kitchen storage.

Storage

One of the things we have particularly appreciated about the house is the amount of storage.

There is a large loft with lighting, plug sockets and easy pull-down ladder access, providing considerably more storage than is typical for a two-bedroom property.

Outside, there is also a brand-new garden shed.

Outside

The house has both front and rear gardens.

The private rear garden has a patio/seating area, established planting and beds, and plenty of space to sit outside. It has been designed to be attractive while remaining relatively straightforward to maintain.

There is also a private driveway to the rear of the property and there are two dedicated visitor spaces as well as road parking.

The house sits within a small row of four properties at the front of a quiet cul-de-sac. It is a friendly, established neighbourhood who look out for one another.

Location

A particular feature of the property is its position next to Southwick Country Park and nature reserve, with the park and allotments immediately on the doorstep.

It is ideal for anyone who enjoys walking, running, cycling, nature or simply having a large amount of green space nearby, while still being very convenient for Trowbridge, Frome, Bath and surrounding towns.

Approximately:

- 5 minutes' drive to Trowbridge railway station
- 10 minutes' drive to Westbury station
- Around 25 minutes' drive to Bath
- Direct rail services from Westbury to London Paddington and Waterloo in approximately 1 hour 20 minutes

Furnishings

The Miele oven and fridge-freezer will remain with the tenants choice of keeping the washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

Who we are looking for

More than anything, we would like to find tenants who are looking for somewhere they can genuinely settle.

This isn't an investment property that has been prepared purely for letting, it has been our home, and we are only renting it because our work is taking us elsewhere. In return, we want to be approachable landlords who deal with things properly and treat our tenants fairly, understanding that this will be their new home.

We would particularly welcome enquiries from people looking for a longer-term home who appreciate the combination of generous rooms, excellent storage, gardens, parking and immediate access to the countryside.

Early viewing recommended.
