Stoneleigh Abbey is a historic estate located near the village of Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. Originally founded as a Cistercian monastery in the 12th century, it was converted into a grand country house after the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century. The estate has been owned by the Leigh family since the dissolution, and they have played a significant role in its history and development. The Abbey underwent significant alterations in the 18th century, when it was remodeled in the Palladian style by architect Francis Smith of Warwick.
