As mentioned earlier, the location is one for anyone wanting an easy walk to the beach and access to the paseo which winds its way to Garrucha. There are also cycle tracks and paths from the nearby flamingo inhabited lagoon passed the neighbouring town of Palomares and on to Villaricos.

In the locality there are several bars and restaurants which are open all year round and many more to chose from during the long summer season when the beach chiringuitos open; a high street brand supermarket and bus routes to Mojácar, Vera and surrounding areas.

Airport transfers to Almería and Murcia are approximately 60 and 80 minutes respectively and Alicante at around 2 hours.
