Prezza l'aquila province

A pretty medieval village, built on the slopes of Monte Prezza, at 480 metres above sea level. For the energetic there is even a trail which leads to the top of the mountain at 1,323 metres.

The original centre is found in the upper part of the town with a cluster layout around the church, and buildings sloping down the incline. Historical buildings to examine include the baronial mansion and the ancient church of Santa Lucia.

Throughout the year the town enjoys several religious festivals, not to be missed.

The population of 952 has a weekly market that takes place each Tuesday morning and sells local produce. There is a bar in the village with the larger towns of Raiano, Prato Peligna and Sulmona, with all facilities, just 1520 minutes away, by car. A small supermarket and two pizzerias are only three kilometres from the centre of Prezza.
