There are many beautiful and established trees, including an orchard with apples, pears, plums and walnuts. At the front of the property is a large gravel and grassed area with a well. Wild strawberry plants are along the path to the front door. Snowdrops and bluebells fill the front lawn area in the spring. There is a well established medical facility with a doctor, nurse, physio, ophthalmologist and dentist. Just outside the village is the very large fishing lake with a restaurant. The village also has some of the best brocantes in the summer with upwards of 200 stalls. Valençay (6km), has lots more commerce, restaurants, the famous Château, supermarket and so on.
