This property is a fabulous granite house on the outskirts of the popular village of Póvoa de Midões, set in an urban plot of approximately 6,000m2 with fabulous 180 degree views from the Serra da Estrela to the Caramulo mountains. Póvoa de Midões is a popular village with a small supermarket, hairdressers, bar/cafés and school and nearby restaurants. Only 10 minutes from Tábua where you will find all your daily amenities suchs as Banks, supermarkets, sports facilities and a hospital. 1 hour from Coimbra and 2 hours for Porto

The house is of a fabulous granite construction traditional to the area and the walls have been finished and dressed to a good standard. The thickness of the granite walls provide warmth in the winter and keep the property cool in the summer.
The house benefits from the fairly recent addition of high quality double glazing throughout. The house contains two wood burning stoves, one in the kitchen diner and one in the lounge and also has central heating if required in the winter.

The house is accessed by a short tree lined driveway and is tucked away providing privacy to the entrance, arriving at the house there is sufficient parking for 3 or 4 cars. Entering the house on the right hand side is via a good sized enclosed porch complete with double glazing, this is a good space for leaving boots and coats if desired. From the porch is the original wooden front door from where you arrive in to the large open plan kitchen and dining space with fully tiled floor, the dining area houses the first of the two stoves and also the staircase to the first floor. Next to the kitchen is access by French doors to a wonderful new conservatory/orangery, again with high quality double glazing and slate flooring. Also off the kitchen space is the small bathroom (there is potential to easily increase the bathroom size).

From the dining area is stepped access to a large lounge with exposed granite walls, tiled floor and a wonderful timber cathedral ceiling. The lounge houses the 2nd stove and radiators for central heating. The lounge also has French doors provide access to the side of the house and land. To the rear of the lounge is a double bedroom, again with exposed granite walls and timber ceiling. The windows and door also have shutters.

Taking the the stairs you will find a clever storage space at the top and 2 further bedrooms, again both bedrooms have cathedral/vaulted ceilings. The smaller bedroom is suitable for bunk beds. At the rear of the house is a light filled double bedroom with dual aspect windows and from here the stunning views really become apparent. Outside of the bedroom is the flat roof to the orangery, it would be possible to open up a window and provide access to the roof as a terrace to the rear and side of the house which would provide a stunning spot to sit and enjoy the views and sunset.

Outside to the rear of the house, the views are breathtaking and it is from here you get to fully appreciate the location. Close to to the house is a fully prepared deck for a yurt or yoga and a wonderful plunge pool formed amongst the granite. The land is mostly flat with useable terrain, has fruit trees, vines, olive trees and a vegetable garden. There is plentiful water from a borehole and a well. It is important to note that the whole terrain of almost 6,000m2 is Urban and therefore provides potential options for further structures

Overall, this is an excellent granite house in a stunning location with views to die for and further potential.
