In Detail
This modern and recently constructed property was conceived out of 3 main desires: Quality, Luminosity and Flow.

Firstly the house sits on a generous plot of land with large stepping stones leading to the front entrance, the house which is well set back from the road appears to float above the garden which is mainly laid to lawn with some ornamental planting and a signature centuries old olive tree.

Enter the long calçada driveway via automatic gates with video intercom. The drive sweeps past the house on the left side and leads to a very generous covered parking area large enough for 4 vehicles with more space available on the rear courtyard.

The pedestrian entrance leads you up the steps to the front double door sized entrance. To one side you have a large pillar faced with hand cut stone.

There is a large patio area to one side with ample space for a table and chairs and this is the perfect place to enjoy easterly views over the countryside and to the Serra do Montejunto range.

Enter the house directly into the large hallway. The outside pillar is replicated on one wall of the hallway naturally introducing you from the outside to inside. Light floods into this area making it bright, warm and welcoming.

To the right side is a complete wall of custom made floor to ceiling cupboards giving clean lines and ample storage.

Continuing down this inner hallway there is a guest cloakroom to the left side having a toilet and hand basin with vanity unit and mirror.

The final room on this hallway is currently used as a hobby room but could easily be used as a spare bedroom or an office .It is only for you to imagine.

This room also features a natural light well which can be opened and closed.

Returning to the entrance hall there are 2 wings off this area. To the right is the bedroom wing and to the left is the social area which begins with a very large L shaped open area incorporating the lounge and dining area and kitchen.

Outside
The driveway wraps completely up the side and around the back of the house. There is driveway lighting all along the left side which has also been nicely planted and an automatic irrigation system takes care of the watering.

Location
Usseira is situated 5 kilometres to the south of Óbidos and only a 20 minute drive to 4 championship standard golf courses and the same distance to the beaches of Foz do Arelho, Salir do Porto and São Martinho do Porto

Belonging to the Camera of Óbidos, Usseira is an agricultural village producing mainly apples, pears and wine.

A medium sized village with 2 good restaurants and several cafes within walking distance of the house. It also has an active Association.

For day to day practicalities Usseira also has a hairdressers, bank, atm, a petrol station, a pharmacy and a bus service to Óbidos.

From Óbidos there is a rapid service bus link direct to Lisbon (1 hour).

Óbidos is a very picturesque mediaeval walled town and Moorish castle built originally in the 12th century. It holds special events throughout the year, the most famous being the “Medieval Festival” normally held in early August and is a several weeks long event.

Foz do Arelho

Situated just 20 minutes drive north of Usseira this seaside town offers a mini-market, restaurants, bank post office and a sailing club offering everything to do safely in the lagoon such as windsurfing, kite surfing. Stand up paddle, kayaking and sailing.

Relax at one of the numerous beach bars / restaurants after all that activity

Salir do Porto and São Martinho do Porto together offer everything you could want in a seaside town including numerous hotels, banks, shopping, bars, restaurants and the most stunning sea shell shaped beach.
