Ses Salines is one of the most beautiful and oldest villages on the southeast coast. The image of the village is characterized by cozy bars and restaurants where Mallorcans and tourists drink their "café con leche" while enjoying the sun. It is a typical Mallorcan village, which got its name from the salt works dating back to Roman times. Salt is still harvested here today. Historically very interesting are also the "Talaiots", remains of a prehistoric settlement. Many small bays like Cala Llombards or the dreamlike natural beach of Es Trenc are only a short drive away. You can also explore the beautiful flat landscape by bike.
