Felanitx is a very traditional Mallorcan town. Founded in the 13th century, it is famous for the production of ceramics, wine and cognac, products that have become quite well known over the years, even abroad. The medieval Gothic monastery of Sant Salvador stands on a mighty mountain near the village; it seems to be protecting Felantix and its inhabitants. A visit to San Salvador is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
