Sant Llorenç des Cardassar is a small town in the east of Mallorca. Originally named Bellver after James I of Aragon reconquered the island, the town takes its name from an altar dedicated to Saint Lawrence. Once a destination for pilgrims, this quaint Spanish town has retained a lot of its Medieval charm, and is home to a wide variety of typically Spanish shops, cafes and bars. Just 8km from the larger town of Manacor, and 12km from the beach, it's one of the best addresses in the island's peaceful east coast.
