Surroundings

Immediately south of Ortona the coast changes totally, with the Unesco heritage Costa dei Trabocchi and later on the Gargano promontory, where Mediterranean scrub falls directly into the sea.

Within one hour drive, there are skiing facilities both in the Maiella mounting range, or in Gran Sasso one, which are the two highest peaks in Central and Southern Italy.

At the same distance, for excursions, it is possible to reach the Parco Nazionale D′Abruzzo, the biggest natural reserve in Europe.
