Castled on a cliffside, directly above the sea, in the small town of Conca dei Marini in the province of Salerno, luxury villa with panoramic terrace and direct access to the seaside.
In an easily reached position, with a wonderful view over the Tyrrhenian Sea, this beautiful villa is perfect for anyone looking for a holiday house in a renowned location close to several of the most appreciated places in Campania: The maritime republic of Amalfi (4km; 15’), the beautiful Roman Pompei (37km; 1h 10’), Naples (59km; 1h 30’), the Greek temples of Paestum (75km; 2h), Caserta with its Royal Palace (85km; 1h 45’) and the small tourist center of Palinuro (149km; 3h).
Closest airports are Napoli Capodichino (63km; 1h 25’), Salerno Costa d’Amalfi (48km; 1h 30’), Roma Ciampino (265km; 3h 15’) and Roma Fiumicino (291km; 3h 30’).
The access to the property (400 sqm – 4,304 sqft) is granted by a small staircase descending right from the road. Here we arrive on a beautiful outdoor terrace, covered by a small wooden and bamboo cover, with a wonderful view over the sea. From the terrace we get entrance to the day zone (on the upper floor) of the building where we can find a nice living room with reading area and a bar room with a nice fireplace in the middle. From the kitchen, through a winding downward staircase, we arrive into the night-zone, made up of 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms built between the rocky face of the cliff and the external wall of the building- Descending further we arrive to the exit at the bottom of the cliff, leading directly to the small dock with a landing area for boats.
The building we see today is the result of a process of merging between two pre-existing structures. The bigger one was a rope factory which was working for the tonnare (tuna processing factories) of the town. In recent years, the house was expanded by a smaller stone building nearby which had been the residence of Coco Chanel.
The villa is currently in good shape, with white-painted plastered walls, gifting the house with an unrivaled brightness. Floors are covered in ancient terracotta tiles and the rooms are pretty classical. In the night-zone we can find some beautifully painted majolica tiles, designed by Coco Chanel. The peculiar stone arches grant a wonderful view over the sea. Doors, as well as several other pieces of furniture, are made out of high quality wood.
The residence is enriched by a beautiful panoramic terrace offering a magnificent view over the Tyrrhenian Sea. The wood and bamboo cover over the terrace, while being simple, is very effective and not disturbing and grants the possibility of relaxing outdoor (without worrying about the sun) or having pleasant al fresco dinners with friends and relatives.
Fiore all’occhiello della proprietà è però il molo privato che si trova alla base della scogliera e che permette anche l’attracco e l’accesso alla proprietà via barca. Il tutto è raggiungibile tramite una scala in pietra ricavata direttamente nella roccia.
The villa is perfect if someone is looking for a hosting-ready property, given the presence of numerous bedrooms and a direct access to the seaside. From the hosting point of view it is however possible for the owners to keep living in the villa while renting out the other bedrooms.
Alternatively, it is always viable a private use of the villa, either as a stable residence or as a holiday and summer house.
