The local school near Saxons Chase is Headcorn Primary School (1.1 miles). A little further afield are Sutton Valence School (4.7 miles) and Linton Park School (8.7 miles). For even more choice there are grammar schools in Maidstone and Canterbury, and further education colleges in Ashford, Canterbury and Maidstone. For higher education, there are university courses at Canterbury and Maidstone.


Headcorn is a thriving village community just eight miles from the county town of Maidstone, with all its shops and restaurants. It's 16 miles from the McArthur Glen Outlet for another wide range of shops. The village has a number of independent shops, including a deli, hardware shop, opticians and a Post Office, as well as a Sainsbury's supermarket.


Saxons Chase is ideal for commuters, with connections to Maidstone via the M20 heading east to Ashford and west to Swanley. If you prefer to travel by train, the development is ideally located near Headcorn train station, with routes west to Tonbridge, east to Ashford and further afield to Canterbury and Dover. Trains will get you to London Bridge in under an hour. The nearest port is Dover, for ferry crossings to Calais. The nearest airport is Gatwick, only an hour's drive away, with its choice of national and international destinations.
