Find your dream home at Corelli

Sherborne is a gorgeous market town in north-west Dorset. Situated on the River Yeo, on the edge of the rolling hills of the Blackmore Vale, it lies 6 miles east of Yeovil in Somerset.

With beautiful historic buildings, an abbey, two castles, fabulous shops, first class schooling, and stunning countryside all around, Sherborne's a sought-after town to live in and a perfect place to call home. Sherborne is a bit like stepping back in time, with its sense of history and lovely old buildings. At the same time, with regular train services to Waterloo via Salisbury or to Exeter, this is a well-connected and thriving place. Close to the Dorset/Somerset border, you'll be very well placed for both these lovely counties if you need to travel to work, and you'll be spoilt for choice for leisure time too.

Leisure

Corelli has an excellent range of facilities nearby including a variety of shops, leisure and sports facilities, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants. There's a good choice of well-respected junior and senior schools in and near Sherborne, including the world-renowned Sherborne Girls and Boys schools, Leweston and The Gryphon School. Surrounded by rolling countryside, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and about walking or cycling. A short walk from Corelli, on Blackberry Lane there's an adventure playground with a skate park perfect for boarding, blading, bikes and scooters.

Shopping

Steeped in history and tradition, Sherborne offers its residents a fascinating environment. The town centre has some lovely shops, and a high street filled with medieval and Georgian buildings constructed from the local hamstone - characterised by its beautiful honey-gold colour. There's so much history to explore on your doorstep, including Sherborne Abbey and two castles. One is the ruin of a 12th-century fortified palace and the the other, Sherborne Castle, is a former 16th-century mansion built by Sir Walter Raleigh.

Transport

Surrounded by the beautiful Dorset countryside and close to the Somerset and Wiltshire borders, Corelli is located just off the A30 providing excellent links to Yeovil - where it connects to the A303 - and Shaftesbury. The A37 takes you to Dorchester and Weymouth. Sherborne has a mainline train station for easy journeys to London Waterloo via Salisbury.
