Its rural setting makes Wincanton an ideal location from which to explore the surrounding countryside of Somerset, the Blackmore Vale and neighbouring Dorset and Wiltshire, either on foot, on bicycle or horseback. Wincanton Primary School and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Primary School are both just half a mile away, catering for 4 - 11-year-olds. For air travel Bristol International Airport is approximately 35 miles away and ferry services run from Poole, just 40 miles away.
