For senior pupils Selby High School is less than one mile away and Brayton College and Barlby Bridge School are both less than two miles. Selby College offers a whole range of courses for those aged over sixteen and there are two independent schools taking pupils up to eighteen and nineteen years, within six miles.
Selby town centre is within a mile of Holmes Meadow, or just a few minutes by car or bus. Holmes Meadow provides easy access to the A19, a major trunk road linking Selby to the City of York to the north and Doncaster to the south. It also gives direct access to the M62 with junction 34 about eight miles away. To the south of Selby the A63 provides a convenient route to junction 42 of the A1 M motorway, which is approximately ten miles away. Selby train station is just a few minutes drive and provides services to major UK cities including Hull, London, York and Manchester. For air travel Robin Hood Airport at Doncaster, is less than a thirty mile drive.
