Transport

Barton Quarter is well-situated for commuters within Greater Manchester, as it lies approximately 10 minutes' drive from junction 6 of the M61, which gives access to Preston and the M6 to the north, and the M60 Manchester Outer Ring Road to the south. Blackrod railway station, located about a mile and a half from the development, provides direct services to destinations including Manchester Victoria, the typical journey time to which is just over half an hour. For domestic and international travel, Manchester Airport is around 35 minutes' drive away via the M61 and M60.
