The moment we stepped inside Merton Close, we felt we had come home. From the huge driveway to the open-plan kitchen/dining area, we knew there wouldn’t be another two-bedroom house that ticked so many boxes for us.
The ten years we have spent here have truly flown by. During that time, we’ve replaced the driveway and transformed the garden, upgraded most of the bathroom and decorated throughout, gradually creating a home that has grown and changed with us.
We have particularly loved the south-facing garden, which we have enjoyed all summer long, and having direct access to Swinley Forest on our doorstep has been something we have never taken for granted. The quiet end-of-cul-de-sac position has also made Merton Close feel like such a peaceful place to come home to.
Some of our happiest memories have been made here, and it has been the perfect place to start and grow our little family. Leaving is a very bittersweet decision, and if we didn’t need more bedrooms for our growing family, we wouldn’t be going anywhere.
