A room with a view, a home full of character, and one of Uddingston's most convenient addresses. Combining charm, space and practicality, this delightful property offers a welcoming setting for modern family living, with beautiful surroundings and excellent local amenities right on the doorstep.
5 things our current owner loves about their home:
1. I absolutely love the big traditional windows and how much natural light they bring into the flat. Even on the dullest Scottish days, the rooms still feel lovely and bright. It's one of my favourite things about living here and makes the whole flat feel so welcoming.
2. Living right on Uddingston Main Street has been fantastic. I'm surrounded by brilliant independent shops, cafes and restaurants, so there's always somewhere to pop out for a coffee, enjoy a meal or meet up with friends. Having Tesco, Lidl and M&S all within walking distance makes everyday life incredibly convenient too.
3. Getting around couldn't be easier. There are direct trains to both Glasgow and Edinburgh, a bus stop just across the road and easy access to the motorway network. Whether i'm commuting, heading into the city for a day out or travelling further afield, having so many transport options nearby is a huge advantage.
4. I've been really fortunate to have such good neighbours. Everyone communicates well and we're always happy to help each other out whenever we can. It's lovely to have that sense of community, especially when living in a shared building, and it's something i've really appreciated during my time here.
5. Having residents' parking right at the back of the building is such a bonus, particularly when living in the heart of a busy Main Street. I love being able to walk to almost everything I need while still having the convenience of parking close to home whenever I use the car.
High ceilings, beautiful traditional windows and interiors bursting with personality make this one bedroom tenement flat something a little different. Set right on Uddingston Main Street, it combines the character of a traditional property with stylish modern touches, generous proportions and the convenience of having independent cafes, restaurants, shops and transport links practically on your doorstep.
The lounge is a real highlight of this home. Two impressive windows flood the room with natural light, while the high ceilings, decorative cornicing and beautiful traditional fireplace create a wonderful sense of character. The owner has embraced the property's period features with a colourful, contemporary interior that feels both stylish and welcoming. There is plenty of space for comfortable seating as well as a dining area, making this a fantastic room for relaxing or entertaining.
The kitchen continues the home's fresh, modern feel, with white cabinetry, warm wooden worktops, gold toned fittings and contemporary tiling. A particularly lovely feature is the window seat, which makes the most of the large window and offers a charming spot to enjoy your morning coffee. There is also excellent storage and plenty of worktop space for everyday cooking.
The bedroom is another beautifully proportioned room, with a large window, high ceilings and plenty of space for a double bed, wardrobes and additional furniture. Its bright, contemporary decor and carefully chosen finishing touches create a relaxing retreat away from the bustle of the Main Street.
Completing the accommodation is a modern bathroom with a white three piece suite, shower over the bath and stylish finishes.
Outside, residents benefit from a shared garden area and convenient residents' parking to the rear of the building, an especially welcome feature in such a central location.
For anyone who loves traditional architecture but wants the convenience of modern living, this is a flat that offers the best of both worlds.
Uddingston is one of South Lanarkshire's most popular residential locations, known for its thriving Main Street, independent businesses, excellent restaurants and convenient transport connections.
Uddingston train station is within walking distance, with direct rail connections to Glasgow and Edinburgh, while the nearby M74 and M8 motorway networks provide excellent road links across the Central Belt. Local bus services offer further convenience, with a bus stop directly across the road.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, nearby Bothwell Castle, the River Clyde and surrounding walking routes provide plenty of opportunities to escape the bustle of everyday life.
Combining traditional charm, a fantastic central location and the convenience of residents' parking, Main Street offers an exciting opportunity to enjoy village living with everything you need close to home.
