Having now enjoyed the home for several years, they are now beginning a new chapter but will certainly miss how quiet, cosy and safe it feels, while also being convenient for everyday life.

A Tour of the Home
One of the features that immediately caught G&j's attention when they first viewed the property was the original glass detailing separating the lounge and bedrooms. It adds distinctive character to the heart of the home and welcomes plenty of natural light throughout the space.

The property has been improved during G&j’s ownership, including a newly fitted kitchen and replastering to the hallways and lounge/diner, giving the home a fresh touch.

Outside, the fully paved garden is a great space for entertaining or just enjoying a quiet moment, while the front of the property benefits from a driveway and garage, providing useful off-street parking and additional storage.

Location and Lifestyle
For G&J, one of the real pleasures of living here has been how easy it is to get on with everyday life. The essentials are close by, but there is also plenty to do when they have more time to explore.

The M2 (1.2 miles) and M20 (4 miles) are both nearby, making getting onto the motorway straightforward when heading further afield. Buses between Chatham and Maidstone run approximately every 15 minutes on weekdays and around every 20 minutes at weekends, with the 101 bus journey taking around 10 minutes.

For trips into London from Chatham Station, you can be at St Pancras in under 40 minutes, making the capital surprisingly accessible.

Having lived here for several years, Gilly and Jason have naturally built up a few favourite places nearby — the sort of places that become part of your routine once you know the area well.

For fitness, jd Gym in Chatham is a half-mile walk away, while they also enjoyed being members of Rochester Health Club (1.5 miles away), which is the biggest gym in Kent.

When they want some fresh air, Capstone Park is a reliable option, with its lake, play area and learning area for children. Jacksons Park, close to Rochester High Street, is another great green space and an easy place to escape for a stroll.

For a coffee and something sweet, Beantown Rochester is G&j’s go to. They are particularly fond of their cakes and can’t recommend them enough.

There are also plenty of pub choices. G&J particularly like The Granville for its outdoor space, while The Coopers Arms offers something a little more traditional, with its old, quirky interior and lovely beer garden close to Rochester Castle and Cathedral.

For dinner, Don Vincenzos is a particular favourite. The family-run Italian restaurant is somewhere they return to time and time again, both for the food and the friendly staff.
