The schools are excellent as well, Harry Taylor First, Walkwood Middle, and St Augustine's High are all close by. Commuting could not be easier, and we have loved being near Arrow Valley Lake, Morton Stanley Park, Studley village, and the Astwood Bank fetes over the years."

What about the house itself?

"The kitchen is where we spend most of our time, it is spacious and I love to cook, so that mattered a lot to us. The garden has seen its fair share of barbecues and quiet mornings with a coffee in the sun, it catches the light beautifully first thing. We have made changes over the years too, we added the conservatory, extended the bathroom, put in a porch, rebuilt the front wall, fitted a loft hatch, added a handrail on the stairs, and changed the internal doors. The house stays warm right through winter, which makes a real difference. What we will miss most is the peace and calm of the neighbourhood, the easy commute, and that homely feeling, honestly, the whole area really. We think it is perfect for a young family, a couple after space and quiet, or someone who works from home."
