5 things our current owners love about their home:
1. We love the size of our garden and the freedom it gives us. There is plenty of room for entertaining, enjoying the sunshine and spending time outdoors. Whether it's a summer barbecue with friends or a relaxing afternoon with the family, it's a brilliant extension of the house.
2. One of our favourite things is how well the downstairs space works for modern living. The kitchen, dining area and lounge flow beautifully together, making it easy to spend time as a family or entertain friends. It's a sociable layout that still gives each area its own personality.
3. Having two newly fitted bathrooms has made such a difference. Both have been finished to a fantastic standard, with contemporary fittings and stylish details that make them feel luxurious. Having a bathroom on each floor is also incredibly convenient.
4. We love living in Baillieston. Everything we need is close by, from local shops and everyday amenities to excellent transport connections. It's a fantastic location for enjoying everything Glasgow has to offer while still having a lovely residential setting to come home to.
5. Not having to pay factor fees is a real bonus. It's one less regular expense to think about and something we've really appreciated about owning our home.
There are homes that have been updated, and then there are homes that have been completely reimagined. Glasgow Road is firmly in the latter category, combining the character of a traditional property with an exceptional contemporary interior.
The ground floor is undoubtedly the heart of this home. A spectacular open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen stretches across an impressive space, with beautiful herringbone-style flooring creating a seamless connection between the different areas.
The lounge immediately catches your attention. Rich charcoal panelling creates a striking feature wall, beautifully complemented by a traditional fireplace, elegant lighting and large bay window. The combination of original character and contemporary finishes gives this room a wonderfully distinctive personality.
Flowing naturally into the dining area, the room opens up around a stunning central kitchen island. Crisp white cabinetry, contrasting worktops and integrated appliances create a sophisticated finish, while the island provides the perfect spot for morning coffee, casual meals or catching up with friends over a glass of wine. A second bay window brings even more natural light into this fabulous entertaining space.
The kitchen continues towards the rear of the property, where additional cabinetry and generous worktop space provide excellent practicality without compromising the clean, contemporary design. Direct access to the garden makes moving between indoor and outdoor living wonderfully convenient.
A beautifully finished ground-floor shower room adds another touch of luxury, with striking stone-effect tiling, dark fittings and a contemporary vanity unit.
Upstairs, the main bedroom is a genuine showstopper. Generous proportions, a large bay window and dramatic navy wall panelling combine to create a sophisticated retreat. The cleverly designed dressing area, with extensive open shelving and hanging space, is a particularly impressive addition.
The second bedroom is another excellent double, featuring its own bay window, while the third bedroom offers flexibility as a child's bedroom, nursery or dedicated home office.
The newly fitted family bathroom continues the home's exceptional standard of presentation. Bold blue panelling, marble-effect wall tiles, gold accents and a contemporary vanity unit create a luxurious finish, complemented by a full-sized bath with overhead shower.
Outside, the substantial rear garden offers something increasingly difficult to find: Plenty of space to enjoy. A generous lawn provides room for children to play, while the paved seating areas are ideal for outdoor dining and entertaining. The enclosed setting and recently installed fencing add to the garden's appeal, making it a fantastic space for families and those who love spending time outdoors.
Glasgow Road enjoys a convenient position in the popular Baillieston area of Glasgow, with a fantastic selection of everyday amenities, shops, supermarkets and leisure facilities nearby.
Baillieston is particularly popular with commuters thanks to its excellent road connections, including convenient access to the M8, M73 and M74 motorway networks. Baillieston railway station also provides connections towards Glasgow city centre, making the area a practical choice for those travelling for work or leisure.
