Sometimes the best thing you can do with a period home is just let it look like a period home....

Looking at this house from the street it was easy for me to tell what to expect internally - the restored brickwork, sash windows & the plaster pink entrance door from London Door Co spoke volumes. This 3 bedroom home in Lee has been renovated to the highest standard by the current owners & they have clearly thought about every detail.

The accommodation spans over 3 floors & comprises of 3 double bedrooms, an extended kitchen with a breakfast room, a family lounge & a more formal snug along with a bathroom & toilet which are both designed in keeping with the period the home was built in & feature furniture and fittings from both Burlington & Fired Earth.

We asked the sellers about their time living in the house and here is what they had to say:

We’ve absolutely loved our time on Waite Davies Road. When we first moved in, the house needed a lot of work, and over the years we’ve put a huge amount of time, care and love into making it our home. It’s been a real labour of love, and we’ve loved seeing it change and grow with us.

Most importantly, it’s where our two children have grown up, so we’re leaving with so many happy memories. We’ve spent countless hours in the garden, exploring the local parks, meeting friends and enjoying family life in the area.

We’ve also really loved the community. Waite Davies Road is a friendly, welcoming street where neighbours know each other and look out for one another, but it still feels peaceful and residential. It’s something we’ll genuinely miss.

The location has been a big part of why we’ve enjoyed living here. There are lots of great independent cafés, shops, restaurants and pubs nearby, as well as plenty of parks and green space. Blackheath Village and Greenwich are both close enough to enjoy regularly, and Greenwich Park has been a particular favourite for family walks and weekends outdoors.

At the same time, the proximity to Central London makes commuting simple and straightforward, so it has always felt easy to enjoy the best of both worlds - a lovely residential neighbourhood with a real sense of community, while still being well connected to the city.

After so many happy years here, it will be strange to leave. We’ve put a lot into the house and have so much affection for it, as well as for the area and the people we’ve met here.

We really hope the next owners enjoy living here as much as we have and make their own happy memories here
