Vendors Comment:
When we first viewed the house, we were immediately drawn to the generous driveway and the size of the back garden. We wanted a garden where we could enjoy BBQs, have a summerhouse and entertain friends and family, without sacrificing the lawn or the open outlook. The garden has been perfect for exactly that and has become one of our favourite parts of the home.
We also really liked the layout of the lounge and dining area. We had always wanted the feeling and sociability of open-plan living, but with the option to close the spaces off when we wanted somewhere a little cosier. It has given us the best of both worlds a great space when everyone is together, but still somewhere that feels warm and comfortable in the evenings. We always pictured the large feature wall in the lounge showcasing the TV and creating the heart of our family space, and it has become exactly that somewhere we've spent countless evenings together.
Upstairs, we loved the size and position of the main bedroom. Being at the back of the house, with built-in wardrobes and views over the garden, it feels wonderfully peaceful. Having a second bedroom of a similarly generous size was also really important to us, as it meant the house gave us plenty of space to grow as a family without needing to move again.
The location was another huge reason we chose the house. Being tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, itself off a quiet road, gives it a lovely sense of peace while still having schools, shops and everyday amenities within walking distance.
One of the things we've perhaps appreciated even more since living here is the lifestyle the area offers. Having the sang and park just across the road has meant regular family walks throughout every season. Some of our favourite memories have also been summer Friday evenings at the local cricket club, eating freshly baked pizzas while watching the children play, make friends and enjoy themselves. There is a real sense of community here that we have loved being part of.
The transport links have also made the location incredibly practical. Easy access to the M3 has been essential for work, while having both Camberley and Yateley within easy reach gives us plenty of choice for shopping, schools and secondary education. Farnborough Main is also around a mile away, with fast trains into central London, which has made commuting extremely convenient.
For us, the house offered that difficult combination to find; a peaceful family setting, a large garden, generous bedrooms and flexible living space, while still being exceptionally well connected. It has been a wonderful home in which to grow our family and make some very happy memories.
Stephen's Comments:
Claydon Gardens enjoys a desirable position within the popular village of Hawley, offering an excellent balance of everyday convenience. The area is well served by local amenities, schools, shops and places to eat and drink, including welcoming local pubs and the facilities around Hawley Green. For those who enjoy the outdoors, there is an abundance of Woodland & open green space walks right on the doorstep. Hawley Park Farm offers open fields, woodland and scenic walking routes. For me, a must view.
Area Comment:
Hawley is one of those places that feels like a hidden gem; close enough for the town centres such as Camberley & Farnborough but still within a short distance for the transport links for those that need to commute. There's some great green space on offer too with Hawley Woods & Lake, Hawley Farm Country Pakr and many others too all within just a few minutes.
