Two Bedroom Semi Detached House For Sale
Located within great ashby which offers a selection of local shops and businesses, whilst more comprehensive amenities can be found in the town centre or old town. There is also excellent access to London via the A1 junction 7 or 8 and the Stevenage station which provides access to Kings Cross.
The Sellers view - “Our home has been perfect for entertaining friends and family. The kitchen/diner is lovely and bright, with natural light filling the room throughout the day. We enjoy sitting at the dining table with a morning coffee or relaxing there in the evening, with views across the garden. During the warmer months, opening the French doors creates a great connection between the inside and outside, making it ideal for summer barbecues. The layout also works really well for family life, when i’m preparing dinner, I can keep an eye on our little one playing in the garden, which gives us great peace of mind. There’s a useful storage cupboard just off the kitchen, which has been invaluable for keeping household essentials organised, ample space for cleaning equipment, an ironing board and all those things you don’t necessarily want on show. We decided to remove the fireplace in the living room, which has completely opened up the layout and given us much more flexibility with furniture. It’s meant we can comfortably have larger sofas and make better use of the space. The entrance hall is another feature we’ve really appreciated. It’s spacious enough for coats and shoes without feeling cluttered, while still creating a welcoming first impression as you walk through the door. Upstairs, both bedrooms are a really good size and benefit from fitted wardrobes, while still leaving plenty of room for double beds, bedside tables and additional drawer units. Having two bathrooms has made a surprisingly big difference to everyday family life. Morning routines are much easier, and there’s far less of the usual bathroom chaos! We also have two allocated parking spaces directly outside the property, which has been incredibly convenient. Whether it’s unloading a big food shop or getting in and out during bad weather, having the spaces right outside has made life much easier. Finally, the garden offers a good degree of privacy and enjoys plenty of sunshine. The side access is another useful addition, particularly when bringing in bins, storing bicycles or when we have guests.”
Ricky’s Perspective - Located within a highly regarded cul-de-sac - a quiet and friendly setting, perfect for family life. Just a short walk away, you'll find Saint Nicholas Park and the local woods-beautiful in every season and a favourite spot for dog walkers. Whether it’s the vibrant bluebells in spring or the delicate frost on winter branches, there’s always something to admire. Further along lies Pryor’s Wood, where i’ve often spotted muntjacs, squirrels, and other woodland wildlife over the years. Great Ashby District Park is another cherished local gem, popular with runners and families alike. We've spent many afternoons there enjoying picnics and playing rounders-some of our best family memories were made in that park. The local shops are a real lifesaver for last-minute ingredients and daily essentials. And when cooking isn’t on the cards, the area’s takeaways have you covered. The Chinese and fish & chip shop are firm favourites, and Pivora Grill is always buzzing-it’s a go-to for locals. In the warmer months, you can take scenic walks across the fields to the nearby village of Weston, where pubs like The Cricketers serve up excellent Sunday roasts, stone-baked pizzas, and a well-poured pint. For families, Round Diamond School is Ofsted-rated Outstanding and even closer than the shops. Busy Bees Nursery is also nearby and comes highly recommended by local parents.
