We moved from our first apartment to Bell Street nearly five years ago, mainly because of its fantastic location. Being right in the town centre and less than a two-minute walk from the train station was perfect for commuting. We had previously lived in a quiet village where there were no shops, cafés or amenities within walking distance, so being just a five-minute walk from the town centre, with all the shops and some of our favourite cafés on our doorstep, was a real breath of fresh air for us.

We also saw the house as a project. Having previously lived in a new build, we loved the idea of being able to put our own stamp on a house and make it exactly what we wanted. We absolutely loved the renovation process and being able to design the space around how we lived at the time, while also thinking about what we would need in the future as our family grew.

We love having friends and family over, so we knew we wanted a large, open-plan space where we could entertain. The kitchen island has definitely become the hub of our home!

As our family grew and we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of our daughter, we decided to split the second bedroom with a stud wall, creating an office and a gorgeous nursery. This has given us so much more flexibility and space, and means we can both work from home while having a baby napping just next door!

This house is incredibly special to us for so many reasons. The renovation was finished just as we returned from our mini-moon as newlyweds, and, perhaps most special of all, we brought our baby girl home from hospital to her first home here.

It will be very emotional to leave Bell Street behind, but we know the next family to live here will love making memories here just as much as we have.
