For me, that is where the real appeal of Hawthorn Terrace lies.
You are close enough to walk into Wilmslow town centre for coffee, dinner, shopping or a drink, while Wilmslow train station is also within easy reach.
For commuters, that makes life particularly interesting.
From Wilmslow, there are direct rail services into Manchester and direct trains to London Euston, with some London journeys taking around two hours.
So whether Manchester is part of your working week, London is somewhere you need to reach regularly, or you simply want good rail connections further afield, you do not necessarily need to structure everyday life around the car.
Then there is the other side of Wilmslow life.
When you want to swap shops, restaurants and trains for somewhere greener, Lindow Common is also close by.
That combination is exactly who I think this house suits.
Someone who wants the Wilmslow lifestyle rather than simply a Wilmslow postcode.
The house itself gives you much more than an apartment would.
You have your own front door, two separate living spaces and a period home with character.
At the front is the living room, with a feature fireplace, coving and built in shelving.
Behind it is a second reception room, currently used for dining, with another fireplace, fitted storage and French doors opening outside.
That room gives you flexibility too.
Keep it as a dining room, create a work from home space, use it as a snug, or have somewhere separate for entertaining without asking one room to do everything.
Beyond this is the Shaker style kitchen with oak work surfaces, integrated appliances and a vaulted ceiling with a skylight bringing additional natural light into the space.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms.
The main bedroom includes fitted wardrobes, and there is a refitted bathroom.
Outside, there is a private patio to the rear.
And yes, there is parking to the front.
The parking space is narrower than you would find on a modern driveway, so rather than pretend otherwise, I will be showing it being used in the property video.
You will actually be able to see a car drive in and park.
Because if parking is important to you, I would much rather you understand it properly before arranging a viewing.
But this is not the home I would choose for somebody whose priority is a huge driveway and multiple cars.
This is the home I would look at if my priorities were very different.
I want to walk into Wilmslow.
I want the station close by.
I want Manchester and London accessible by train.
I want restaurants, cafés and shops close enough that I actually use them.
I want Lindow Common nearby.
And rather than an apartment, I still want my own period home, outside space and two proper living rooms.
Perfect buy to let.
If that sounds more like the way you want to live, Hawthorn Terrace deserves a look.
