If you lived here...
Beyond the private driveway and striking frontage lies a wonderfully proportioned home, thoughtfully designed to maximise its 1,688 square feet of living space.
Step inside to a spacious and welcoming hallway, leading to a beautifully finished front reception room. Bathed in natural light from the bay window, complete with timber sash frames, this room blends charm and comfort. Period features, including a decorative fireplace, add character, while the soft décor and flooring create a contemporary feel.
To the rear, the heart of the home awaits: A stunning open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. There’s plenty of space for lounging and dining, as well as more beautiful character and thoughtful detail, such as the bespoke carpentry. The kitchen area has been designed with both practicality and style in mind, featuring high-spec appliances including a range-style cooker, ample units and two breakfast bars, which subtly zone the space.
From the rear, doors open onto the beautifully landscaped south-west-facing rear garden, designed with several seating areas to make the most of the sun throughout the day. There’s also a useful outbuilding.
Upstairs, the first floor offers three immaculate bedrooms, with ample storage throughout. A stylish family bathroom serves the remaining rooms, complete with a striking clawfoot bathtub and separate shower.
The loft has been thoughtfully converted to provide a master bedroom complete with ensuite and eaves storage.
Beyond, venture down your tree-lined street to the village-esque hub of Wanstead and you’ll feel a world away from the bustle of London life. With everything from horse riding and farmers’ markets to charming pubs and lush greenery on your doorstep, it’s easy to forget that you’re so close to the city on the Tube. Talking of which, your nearest station is Wanstead, just a short walk away, while Snaresbrook is also within easy reach, putting you half an hour away from central London door to door.
If you’re staying local, La Bakerie will always be a winner on work-from-home days, but for a treat, book in for the excellent Provender Restaurant or the Cardamom Room. Takeaway? Tiffin Tin is fantastically popular throughout the whole area, as is Luppolo Pizza. There are many other options to explore as well.
You also have easy access to South Woodford, where you have even more amenities, including Marks & Spencer, Waitrose and an Odeon cinema. Leyton and Walthamstow are both close to hand too.
What else?
If you’re driving, the North Circular is conveniently located, but not close enough to impact all that peace and quiet.
Your new local? How about the converted 19th-century coaching inn The Cuckfield, which is an eight-minute stroll away. The Duke Wanstead is another great option, slightly further away.
The area also has a fantastic range of schools, making this an excellent choice for families.

A word from the expert...
"Being a country girl at heart, for me Wanstead is the perfect blend of village/city living. With excellent transport links into the city, I often meet up with friends to explore the wonders of London. But I also enjoy going for long, leafy walks with Hollow Ponds and Wanstead Park on my doorstep.
I was first attracted to Wanstead by its charming High Street, lush green spaces and choice of excellent schools. Since moving here, I have discovered some new favourites - for breakfast La Bakerie, lunch at Otto and The Duke for the best roast around.
I love to stay active, and here in Wanstead you have lots to choose from. From organised yoga at Christ Church Green, personal training sessions at Target Fit or jogging around the various nature trails of Epping Forest.
There is a great sense of community here in Wanstead, with informative Facebook groups, street parties, a monthly farmers’ market and the local jumble trail. I have made many friends locally, there is a genuine community spirit here and I am proud to call Wanstead my home."
