Space where it counts makes this three-bedroom home a brilliant option for family life, with a generous kitchen/dining room, three genuinely useful bedrooms and a garden ready to be enjoyed. Add easy connections towards both Glasgow and Edinburgh and it ticks plenty of practical boxes too.
Five things our current owners love about their home:
1. We love how easy it is to get in either direction from here. The closest train station is less than ten minutes away, while we can reach the M8 in around 15 minutes, making journeys towards both Glasgow and Edinburgh really straightforward.
2. It might not be the first thing you think about when buying a home, but it makes such a difference. Whether we're working from home, streaming or everyone is online at the same time, having full fibre broadband has been brilliant.
3. We've been really fortunate with the people around us. Our neighbours are friendly and the street itself is quiet, which has made it a lovely place to come home to.
4. The size of the kitchen was a real bonus for us. There's loads of cupboard space, plenty of room to prepare meals and still enough space for a proper dining area, so it works really well for everyday family life.
5. We love that all three bedrooms are good sizes. Even the smallest bedroom still feels like a proper room and has built-in storage, so whether it's used for a child, guests or working from home, the space is genuinely useful.
The lounge is a comfortable, welcoming space with plenty of room for the whole family to relax. Its generous proportions allow for multiple sofas without the room feeling crowded, while the neutral decor gives the next owner an easy starting point to add their own style.
At the rear, the kitchen/dining room is bigger than you might expect. There's an excellent amount of cabinetry and worktop space, yet still plenty of room for a family dining table. Large windows and glazed doors bring in lots of natural light and provide direct access to the garden, making this a space that works just as well for busy weekday dinners as it does when friends and family are round. A downstairs WC completes the ground floor.
Upstairs, the space continues with three well-proportioned bedrooms. The main bedroom is particularly generous, but importantly there isn't a bedroom that feels like an afterthought. Even the smallest offers useful floor space alongside built-in storage, giving families far more flexibility when deciding how each room should be used.
The family bathroom completes the upper level, while additional storage around the landing helps keep everyday clutter tucked away.
Outside, the enclosed rear garden combines lawn and patio areas, providing space for children to play alongside somewhere to sit, entertain or enjoy the better weather. It's manageable without being restrictive and gives the next owner scope to put their own stamp on it.
Dalcross Way is situated in Plains, within easy reach of Airdrie and the wider Lanarkshire area. Local amenities cater for everyday needs, while nearby transport links make the location particularly appealing for anyone who regularly travels further afield.
With a railway station less than ten minutes away and access to the M8 around 15 minutes from home, the location works particularly well for commuters travelling towards Glasgow or Edinburgh, while still offering the quieter residential surroundings of Plains.
