Agent Ref: AR01 - seller's view

Buying this house as my first home was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was looking for a property with potential that I could truly make my own, and over the years i've lovingly renovated it with great care and attention to detail.

What first attracted me to the property was its peaceful setting. Surrounded by mature trees and with a large, private garden, it offers a real sense of privacy while still being close to everything you need. It's the perfect place to relax, entertain or simply enjoy the outdoors.

The location has been ideal. The town centre, local pubs and sports centre are all within easy reach, while the M4 and M3 are just a short drive away, making commuting quick and convenient. It's a location that offers the best of both worlds-peaceful living with excellent connections.

The neighbours have always been friendly and welcoming, creating a lovely community feel. A special mention has to go to my neighbour, Sean, a landscaper, who keeps the front hedges looking immaculate throughout the year.

This house has been a wonderful first home, full of happy memories, and I hope its next owners enjoy it as much as I have.

Agent's perspective

If you're looking for a home where you can simply unpack and get on with life, this one is well worth a look.

The current owner has done a brilliant job modernising the property. The kitchen and bathroom have both been refitted to a high standard, and the open plan kitchen and breakfast room is a real highlight. It's a great social space with double doors opening straight out onto the garden.

There's plenty of room to enjoy the garden as it is, but there's also potential if you wanted to create something more. The brick outbuilding would make an ideal workshop, hobby space or useful storage, and with the way the garden wraps around there's scope to make the most of the outside space.

Upstairs you'll find two generous double bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes. The principal bedroom benefits from fitted wardrobes and drawers with soft-close fittings, a small detail that adds to the quality feel. My favourite is the rear bedroom, which looks out over the garden and all the mature tree cover, a lovely outlook.

The kitchen is ready to go too, with integrated appliances including the dishwasher, hob and American-style fridge freezer, all of which are included in the sale. It all adds to that turnkey feel. You can move straight in without having a list of jobs waiting for you.

There's also a covered side passage beneath a flying freehold, which provides sheltered access to the garden and is ideal for storing bikes or other outdoor equipment.

Although there is no allocated parking, there is ample on-street parking available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The property is offered with no onward chain, and the seller is sale ready with their solicitor engaged.

For me, this is exactly the sort of home that will appeal to first-time buyers, young professionals or anyone looking for a smart, low-maintenance home in a tucked away yet extremely convenient location.
