Offering far more space than first meets the eye, this fantastic family home combines generous accommodation with a superb converted loft, large rear garden and its very own garden room. Bright, comfortable and full of flexibility, there's plenty here for a growing family to enjoy, with excellent outdoor space and a convenient location close to schools, shops and transport links.
Five things our current owners love about their home:
1. The local area. We love having so much nearby, including the local community hall, play park and shops, as well as a very popular local Chinese.
2. Being right next to the school. Having the local school so close has been brilliant for family life, and both of our children went there.
3. The loft room. This is one of our favourite rooms. It's cosy in winter, bright and airy in summer and such a lovely big space. It's definitely something we'll miss.
4. The garden. The size of the garden has been fantastic, and it gets the sun throughout the day, often until around 8pm. Adding the decking and garden room made it even better and we've enjoyed lots of time out here entertaining family and friends.
5. How convenient everything is. Shops, supermarkets and lovely pubs are all close by, and having easy motorway access towards both Glasgow and Edinburgh makes getting around really straightforward.
The lounge is a comfortable and welcoming space with plenty of room for a generous sofa arrangement. A large front-facing window fills the room with natural light, while neutral decor creates an easy backdrop for new owners to make their own.
Running across the rear of the property, the kitchen offers an excellent amount of worktop and cupboard space alongside room for appliances. A large window keeps the space bright, with direct access from here into the rear garden.
Moving upstairs, there are two well-proportioned bedrooms, both offering plenty of room for bedroom furniture. Their generous proportions make the layout particularly practical for family life, with neither room feeling compromised on space.
Completing the first floor is the family bathroom, fitted with a modern suite including a shower enclosure, WC and wash hand basin.
One of this home's biggest surprises can be found on the upper level. The converted loft creates a fantastic additional room with a spacious open layout, roof windows bringing in plenty of daylight and useful storage tucked into the eaves. Currently enjoyed as a bedroom, it offers excellent flexibility depending on the needs of the next owners.
Outside, the rear garden is a real highlight. Its generous size provides plenty of room for children and pets alongside a decked area that's ideal for outdoor dining and entertaining. The garden enjoys sunshine throughout much of the day and well into the evening.
Sitting at the bottom of the garden is a brilliant garden room, currently transformed into a fantastic bar and entertaining space. With French doors opening onto the garden, it could equally work as a home office, games room, gym or relaxing retreat.
Devondale Avenue is well placed for family life, with local schooling, shops, a community hall and play facilities all within easy reach. A wider selection of supermarkets, pubs and everyday amenities can also be found nearby, while excellent road connections make the property particularly convenient for those travelling towards Glasgow, Edinburgh and throughout the central belt.
