"This was my first flat and couldn’t have asked for a better place! Based in the centre of Reading it offered everything I could ask for and more the apparent brought me 5 years of joy!

Being the top floor with a Juliette balcony this flat offered so much more than just a place to live- it also gave me a place to grow and enjoy with friends and family who could easily visit and share spending countless evenings in the bright open living room playing games and having dinner parties (often before walking into town for a nightcap)

The waterfront is something i’ll miss as walks along there all times of year is beautiful for different reasons - many years meant i got to experience the seasons more than once each which in grateful for. The new development next door has also made this area so much more attractive with coffee shops and other handy amenities within a few minuets of the front door!

Having our own allocated parking space in the gated parking unit under the building is also a massive benefit and super convenient! It feels safer and helps in the winter being in a covered secure space.

The neighbours have always been fantastic, open and friendly with a great community feel. It’s a place people tend to live at for a very long time. Although i’m sad to leave, i’m excited for my next journey and know the new owners are going to love the flat just as much as I have!"

Kiel's Comments-
I think this is a great example of why well-located apartments can work so well for both homeowners and investors.

Positioned on the fifth floor of The Meridian, this beautifully light apartment benefits from a southerly aspect, large double-glazed windows and uninterrupted views, creating a bright and peaceful home despite being right in the centre of Reading.

The open-plan living and kitchen area is the real heart of the property, with plenty of space for dining, relaxing or entertaining friends and family. Juliet balcony doors bring even more natural light into the room, while the kitchen is fitted with an electric hob and there is gas central heating throughout.

There are two genuinely spacious double bedrooms, with the main bedroom benefiting from its own en suite. The second bedroom would work equally well as a guest room, nursery or home office, making the apartment particularly appealing to professional couples, young families or anyone looking for flexibility from their next home.

Residents also benefit from lift access, secure bike storage and allocated secure under-croft parking, a particularly valuable addition for a property this close to Reading town centre.

The apartment has also been successfully rented for a number of years, making it an interesting option for investors looking for a well-positioned property with strong long-term rental appeal.

The current owner describes it as their first home and somewhere they enjoyed for five years, particularly appreciating the bright living space, waterfront walks, friendly neighbours and the convenience of being able to walk into town for dinner, drinks and everything else Reading has to offer.

For me, the combination of space, natural light, parking, a central location and genuine two-bedroom accommodation makes this one worth seeing in person.

Area View-
Central Reading living, with the station, Elizabeth Line and everything the town has to offer within easy reach.

The location is arguably one of The Meridian's biggest advantages. Reading town centre is just a few minutes' walk away, putting an exceptional range of shops, restaurants, cafés, gyms, entertainment and everyday amenities practically on your doorstep.

Reading Station is approximately 0.6 miles away (around a 14-minute walk) providing access to National Rail services and the Elizabeth Line, making commuting into London particularly straightforward, with fast services taking you into the capital in around 30 minutes.

Closer still, there is a Tesco Express and nursery nearby, while the surrounding area also offers convenient access to Argos, McDonald's & Decathlon in the Forbury Retail Park across the road and a growing selection of cafés, shops and services nearby. The Oracle shopping centre and central Reading's wider retail and leisure offering are also within easy walking distance.

For professionals and families, the location is equally practical, with the Royal Berkshire Hospital, GPs, Reading University, Reading College and a selection of schools all within easy reach.

And then there's the waterfront. The Kennet and riverside provide a fantastic change of pace from the town centre, with peaceful walks throughout the year and attractive waterside surroundings right on your doorstep with access to the River Thames also close by. There is even a protected Banksy piece around the corner, adding a little extra character to an already interesting part of central Reading.

For commuters, investors or anyone wanting to enjoy everything Reading has to offer without relying on a car, it's difficult to overlook the convenience here.

A central Reading address, a short walk from the station and Elizabeth Line, with shops, restaurants, waterfront walks and everyday amenities all close by – yet a peaceful and private apartment to come home to.
