*** Vendors comments *** " This isn't just a house; it's my grandmother's home. We inherited it from her, and honestly, I don't think I could ever put into words just how much this place means to our family. We've had so many good times here - Christmas dinners, lazy Sunday afternoons, and wonderful family gatherings. The walls could probably tell a hundred stories if they could talk.

We've been here since 1987, which feels like a lifetime ago. My grandmother always loved this house as we had moved from a small maisonette in the heart of London with no garden! She would spend endless hours tending to the garden whilst singing quietly to herself. Our house has always been a place where people felt welcome. You know that feeling when you walk into a home and it just feels... Safe? That's what it has always been for us.

We redecorated about five years ago, so it's attractive, nothing too fancy, but fresh and inviting. We never extended it on the ground floor, as the space worked perfectly for us. There is scope of course for someone to do that, subject to planning permission.

The area has been brilliant. Lidl is just around the corner for popping out to grab something for dinner, and having ikea nearby has saved us more times than I can count. The local library is also a lovely spot, and i've spent many afternoons in there over the years. It’s also so convenient having a gp practice which is less than 5 minutes walk.

Transport is a dream. Mitcham Eastfield’s station is about a 10–15-minute walk, and the trains into London are quick and more speedy than Streatham Common, actually. You can be in Victoria in around 20 minutes, which is brilliant if you work centrally. There are also loads of buses the 152,255,60 and 463, so you're never stuck.

What will I miss most? Honestly, it's our neighbours. We have been so blessed. Over the years, we’ve had neighbours who take in your parcels, feed your cat and stop for a chat when you're out in the front or back garden. You don't get that everywhere.

So why are we selling? It's not an easy decision, but from a practical standpoint it is time to gift the adult grandchildren their own deposits - so now is the perfect opportunity for someone new to take ownership and build a legacy.

We really hope the next occupants love this home as much as we have. It's been a special place for our family, and i'd love to think it could be equally as endearing for someone else too.
