A Home Full of Happy Memories

When we first viewed this home in early 2019, we knew it was the one. After living in a much busier area, the peace and quiet of Hare Shoots was exactly what we had been looking for. The spacious bedrooms, generous garden and welcoming neighbourhood made it the perfect place to raise our family.

Over the past seven years, this house has been where our children have truly grown up, arriving here in Years 2 and 4 and now leaving as teenagers. Having spacious bedrooms meant they could each create a room that reflected their own personality, while the two bathrooms made busy school mornings so much easier. We added the second bathroom ourselves, complete with a jacuzzi bath, which has become one of our favourite places to relax all year round.

The garden has been the heart of our family life. Every summer has been filled with badminton matches, football games, water-gun fights and family barbecues. We also have a beautiful pear tree that rewards us with delicious fruit every year-something we’ve always looked forward to picking together as a family.

One of the things we’ll miss most is the wonderful community. The neighbours are incredibly friendly, and the area is peaceful, safe and perfect for family life. We have loved being within walking distance of Desborough Park and Ockwells Park, while Larchfield Primary School and Desborough College are all nearby. The property is also well placed within the catchment area for highly regarded Buckinghamshire grammar schools, including John Hampden Grammar School and Wycombe High School. For commuters, Maidenhead station is around a 12-minute walk (or just a few minutes by car), making travel into London very convenient.

Although we’re excited for our next chapter, leaving this home is bittersweet. It has been the backdrop to so many special memories, and we’ll always treasure the years we’ve spent here. We hope its next owners will love it just as much as we have and create many happy memories of their own.
